The Korcula Private Wine Tour is a fully private tasting journey through the island’s vineyard country, travelling in comfort aboard a panoramic minibus with your own driver-guide. Unlike the shared group tour, this experience runs exclusively for your party — no fixed departure times, no strangers, and a pace that’s entirely yours to set. Choose between one, two, or three wineries depending on how deep into Korcula’s wine country you want to go, tasting Pošip, Grk, and other native varieties paired with prosciutto and cheese at every stop. Flexible by arrangement — including a dessert tasting in place of one winery, for guests who want to explore Korcula’s traditional sweets and liqueurs alongside the wine.
2-Hour Program — 1 Winery

A focused, relaxed introduction to Korcula wine country. Visit one family winery for a guided tasting of 3 wines, paired with local prosciutto and cheese. Ideal for guests with limited time, or as a wine-focused add-on to another day’s plans. From €100 per person.
3-Hour Program — 2 Wineries
Extend the journey across two producers, comparing styles and terroir side by side — typically pairing a Pošip from the Smokvica-Čara region with a Grk from Lumbarda’s sandy vineyards. Each stop includes a 3-wine tasting with prosciutto and cheese. From €150 per person.
4-Hour Program — 3 Wineries
The complete private wine safari. Three family wineries, each with its own tasting of 3 wines paired with prosciutto and cheese — the fullest possible picture of what Korcula’s vineyards produce, from crisp Pošip whites to bold Plavac Mali reds. From €200 per person.
Prefer something sweet? On any program, one winery stop can be swapped for a tasting of traditional Korcula desserts — rozata, fritatule, and mantala — for guests who want to pair the wine with the island’s culinary heritage rather than a third cellar visit.
All timings and stops are flexible by arrangement — let us know what matters most to your group when booking.
Your Ride

The Private Wine Tour most often travels aboard a panoramic minibus, driven by your private driver-guide, who shares the story of the island and its winemaking along the way. Vehicle size is matched to your party — let us know your group size when booking and we’ll confirm the right setup.
Free pickup and drop-off are included for guests staying within 5 kilometres of Korcula Town. Please provide your accommodation address at the time of booking.
Winemaking on Korcula stretches back to Greek settlers who planted the island’s first vineyards more than two thousand years ago, and the tradition has been shaped since by centuries of Venetian rule and generations of local family winemakers.

Pošip is Korcula’s signature white and the pride of the villages of Smokvica and Čara. According to island legend, it was discovered in 1864 when a local farmer found a wild vine while clearing forest near Smokvica and planted its cuttings in his own vineyard. In 1967, Pošip became the first Croatian wine to receive protected geographical origin status. It’s also a rare survivor: the vines still grow on their own original rootstock, one of the few European varieties to have resisted the phylloxera epidemic that wiped out most of the continent’s vineyards in the late 1800s. Expect a golden-hued, full-bodied dry white with aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and almond.
Grk is grown almost nowhere else on earth outside the sandy vineyards around Lumbarda, on Korcula’s eastern tip. It’s one of very few grape varieties in the world that is functionally female, meaning it can’t self-pollinate and must be planted alongside Plavac Mali vines to bear fruit. The result is a crisp, mineral, slightly saline white shaped by the sandy, seaside soil it grows in — a wine that genuinely can’t be replicated anywhere else.
Plavac Mali, Korcula’s principal red grape, shares its parentage with Zinfandel and produces the island’s bold, full-bodied reds. Paired with Rukatac, a softer local white often blended into island wines, these varieties round out the tasting programs across the island’s family-run wineries.
Q: What is the difference between the 2, 3, and 4-hour programs? A: All programs include a 3-wine tasting paired with prosciutto and cheese at every winery. The 2-hour program visits 1 winery, the 3-hour program visits 2 wineries, and the 4-hour program visits 3 wineries, giving you a progressively deeper tour of the island’s wine country.
Q: Is the tour completely private? A: Yes — your booking covers the entire tour for your party only. There are no shared departures with guests from other bookings.
Q: Which wines will we taste? A: Tastings draw on Korcula’s native varieties, including Pošip (the island’s signature dry white from Smokvica and Čara), Grk (a rare white grown almost exclusively in Lumbarda’s sandy soil), Plavac Mali (the island’s principal red), and Rukatac.
Q: Can we do a dessert tasting instead of a winery? A: Yes — on any program, one winery visit can be swapped for a tasting of traditional Korcula sweets such as rozata, fritatule, and mantala. Just let us know when booking.
Q: Is food included? A: Every winery stop includes prosciutto and cheese alongside the wine tasting.
Q: Is the tour suitable for non-drinkers? A: The wineries can offer non-alcoholic alternatives on request, and the scenery, food, and storytelling are enjoyed by all guests regardless of whether they drink.
Q: When does the tour depart? A: Departure times are flexible and confirmed directly with your group at the time of booking.
Q: Do you offer pickup from our accommodation? A: Yes — free pickup and drop-off are included for guests staying within 5 kilometres of Korcula Town. Please provide your accommodation name and address when booking.
