Korčula Family Holiday: The Best Tours for Kids (Under-12s Save 50%)

Children don’t absorb history standing still. History about Korčula’s old town and island land very differently when it’s delivered halfway up the church bell tower, or from the sea below its walls.

And because we’d rather see your family on a boat or in a buggy than doing mental arithmetic in a hotel lobby figuring out the best things to do in Korčula with kids, we’ve made it simple:

Children up to 12 years of age get 50% off every single Korkyra INFO tour. Children up to 12 also get 30% off our Dubrovnik Airport shuttle bus.

No coupon codes. No fine print buried on page nine. Two kids, one price. That’s a family of four travelling for roughly the cost of three adults — before you’ve even left the airport.

Below: the tours families actually rebook, what age they suit, and why your children will still be talking about them in November.

Why Korčula Is the Best Island in Croatia for a Family Holiday

Korčula is small enough that nothing is a slog and varied enough that nobody gets bored. Sandy beaches (rare in Croatia — genuinely rare), a walled medieval old town you can cross in ten minutes, a shallow archipelago of tiny islands, and roads that wind through olive groves straight out of a picture book.

There are no motorway hours. No 6 am flights to a second destination. You unpack once.

Add the fact that Croatians are unafraid to have children in restaurants at 9 pm, and you’ve got a holiday that works for the adults too.

The Best Tours for a Korčula Family Holiday

🛥️ Korčula Riviera Boat Cruise — 2 hours, from €29 (kids €14.50)

Best for: first days, young children, families who want a win with zero risk

Two hours on the water, gliding past the islets of Stupe, Vrnik and Badija, with the old town shrinking behind you and the Pelješac mountains rising ahead. Hop off at Lumbarda, Vrnik or Badija, swim, eat ice cream, poke around, and catch the 17:00 boat home.

It’s short enough that toddlers stay cheerful and cheap enough that if it rains tomorrow you haven’t lost your big day out. At €14.50 per child, this is the easiest yes on the entire island.

🐠 Korčula Boat Adventure Tour — 7 hours, from €85 (kids €42.50)

Best for: ages 3+, families who want the day they’ll show everyone back home

boat tour korcula discount

This is the big one. Seven hours through the Korčula archipelago: Roman ruins on Majsan island, snorkelling off Gubavac, the Mokalo shipwreck, and hidden coves your captain picks based on the wind that morning — which means no two departures are quite the same.

Lunch is grilled on board. Local wine for the grown-ups. Salt in everyone’s hair. Children who normally cannot sit still for a forty-minute car ride will spend seven hours here and complain when it ends.

🏝️ Korčula Kayak Sightseeing Tour — 3 hours, from €50 (kids €25)

Best for: ages 7+, active families, anyone who thinks they’re “not a kayak person”

visit badija by kayak

Three guided hours paddling out to Badija island and the extraordinary stone-cutters’ island of Vrnik, where they quarried the marble that built half the Adriatic.

No experience needed. Life jackets, paddles, dry bag and water are all included, and a safety boat shadows the group the entire way — which is the sentence most parents actually needed to read. Children usually share a double kayak with an adult, so nobody’s stranded.

Free pickup within 5 km of Korčula Town. You’ll do the school-run drop-off at home for the rest of your life and never once feel this competent.

🚙 Korčula Buggy Safari Tour — 4 hours, from €75 (kids €37.50)

Best for: ages 5+ as passengers, families with older kids

Four hours off-road through olive groves, vineyards and back roads no rental car will ever see. Two beach stops: Vela Przina, the island’s only sandy beach, and Pejton, a secluded rocky cove where you’ll likely be the only people in the water.

There’s a local produce tasting at Adria Winery built in — honey, marmalade, local sweets, and snacks for the small ones, Pošip, Grk, Plavac mali and Rukatac for you.

Children ride as passengers, strapped in beside a parent. They will be covered in dust. They will be ecstatic. Departs daily at 10:00.

The Discount, Plainly

Worked example. A family of two adults and two children under 12 flying into Dubrovnik:

  • Shuttle from Dubrovnik Airport to Korčula Town: €50 per adult, €35 per child → €170 instead of €200
  • Riviera Boat Cruise: €29 + €14.50 × 2 → €87 instead of €116
  • Buggy Safari: €75 × 2 + €37.50 × 2 → €225 instead of €300

That’s roughly €134 saved on three bookings.
